Less than two weeks to go

I finished work last week and enjoyed a lovely meal with my boss and her family. The morning after I was slightly concerned by the fact I had woke with quote a hangover, despite drinking only 3 and a half beers, capped with a shot of sambuca (which I wrongly thought would've been soaked up by the enormous creamy curry I'd eaten no problem). 

Considering I'll probably be getting tanked up every other night in Australia I was thinking I should really up my game, back to the standards achieved during freshers week at uni... But then again, maybe not, when the reality is I need to forbid all UK drinking sessions and save all the money I can get right now. When I think about it, this has pretty much been the story of my life since I finished freshers week. I'm so hardcore like that...

So this week I will be using said money to mainly buy the last few bits from my travel list and getting all my travel documents/finances in order. And last chance to see some of my friends and enjoy time at home with my family before it starts getting hectic as well! I will also be firing off a couple of applications for some cool graduate recruitment schemes and printing off my business cards to give to a few Sydney design studios when I arrive (you never know). 

I have also decided to take the plunge and invest some of the money from my last pay check in a spanking new DSLR camera. It's a large chunk of money I know but if I'm going to go and travel to the types of places that dreams are built of then I want to do them justice and snap some really detailed and professional looking shots with something more substantial than a shitty iPod/iPad camera ... which is what happened when I was travelling in the Caribbean (gutted to find such shocking resolution when I got the photos uploaded on the comp).
